Engineered floors typically have 3-4 mm of wear layer. Using Bona’s high-performance sanding machines, we ensure a gentle yet effective sanding process that removes old finishes while preserving the integrity of the wood. Once sanded, we apply one of our many finishes to enhance the floor’s longevity and appearance.

Bona sanding machines typically take away 0.7mm of wood during the sanding process. This means that an engineered floor with 3mm wear layer can be renovated 2 times, whereas solid wood floors with increased thickness can be renovated more than 2 times.
